這天我們從西海岸Charleston橫跨山脈，先走6號公路，再接69號公路到Reefton，接著走7號公路Lewis Pass到Hanmer Springs，路程為230公里。可惜天不作美，一直連連遇到晴天的好運就破功了。早上九點半就離開渡假屋，前半段路在煙雨濛蒙中渡過，山路多彎道，就一直專心開了近兩個小時到Lewis Pass的起點Reefton鎮才停車休息。接著走了一段Lewis Pass後就慢慢轉晴，在婆婆碎碎唸了整個早上“可惜什麽都看不到，妳沒機會拍照”後，終於開始可以停車拍照了。因為接著很可能COVID-19升到第二級，我們繼續原定旅程機會已經不大，所以，當天我們就抱著這次紐西蘭行最後一段壯觀景色，該好好享受這段旅程。我們最後的50公里幾乎就進入停停走走的狀態，但還是在下午三點多就抵達目的地了，全程耗了近六個小時。
[NL] Deze dag verplaatsen we van Charleston naar Hanmer Springs die ongeveer 170km van Christchurch af. We hadden eerst SH6 genomen, toen naar SH69, en pas de eerste stop bij Reefton. Na Reefton begint SH7 Lewis Pass richting Hanmer Springs. Na weken van mooi weer, moesten we juist deze dag met slecht weer beginnen. Oma bleef in auto herhalen “jammer met het weer… jij kan geen foto’s maken…” totdat we de twee halve van de Lewis Pass pas beter weer hebben gehad. Doorf de onzekerheid van COVID-19 in NZ, zijn we al in rekening gehouden dat deze route waarschijnlijk de laatste mooite pass die we gaan maken in deze trip. Daarom had ik de laatste 50km veel stops gemaakt voor de foto’s. We hebben in totaal ongeveer 6 uur gespendeerd om bij de B&B in Hanmer Springs te komen.
[EN] This day, we left the West Coast and heading to Hanmer Springs which is about 170km away from Christchurch. We took SH6, then SH69 to Reefton where the SH7 Lewis Pass starts. We got rains until the eerst half of Lewis Pass. I had to concentrate on the way and there’re zero lookouts with reasonable views to make pictures. Due to uncertainty of COVID-19 alert level changing, we assumed this would be our last journey through the wonderful pass in NZ. Therefore, I stopped a lots at the second half of Lewis Pass.
