休息了一天，我們開始熱身，先去湖口和鶯歌老街逛逛。湖口，曾經是新竹北部的商業重鎮，居民以客家人為多，現今老街翻修後為旅遊景點。鶯歌，台灣的景德鎮，以出產陶瓷品聞名。我們去逛鶯歌老街欣賞陶藝，友人順道物色茶缸。逛了湖口和鶯歌老街，晚上就回新竹的鼎盛十里吃火鍋，還有打點往高雄—台南—台中—台北、共十天的行裝。
After having rest for a day, we began our warm-up trip to Hukou and Yingge Old Street. Hukou used to be an important commercial town of Hsinchu. Its old street is one of the tourist attractions nowadays. Yingge is famous with its production of porcelain. Its old street, or Yingge Pottery Street, is a great location to shop for ceramic and porcelain products. In the evening, we went to have hotpot as dinner.
