離家遠的難處就是不能常常回家，而且想回家還得排期。趁著脫離寫論文的苦海、又還沒找到新的工作，就利用自由業者的好處，決定回家一趟。不到一天的時間，就從有回家的念頭到買下了機票，神速！當然這應驗了有儲備基金的好處：不必考慮錢的問題。因為答應了巴特的同事去給他們拍照片（Beekse Bergen動物園一日遊），就緩至9號才啟程。這趟不趕時間，選了卡達爾航空得在杜哈轉機的非直飛班機，能省約200歐元，但行程就變得很長。從恩荷芬出發算起，花了31個小時才到美里家門。
Staying far away from home is always difficult to meet family. Year over year, my parents’re getting older and with empty nest nowadays. It drives me to visit them more frequently last times. That’s why I took the opportunity as a freelance to visit them again in October for 2 weeks. 十月份，決定不繼續寫論文後，即買了機票、回馬來西亞兩週。因為是單槍匹馬回去探望家人，拎回來的照片也沒很多，就先上這趟旅程的照片，再回頭分享年初到台灣—澳門—大馬的旅行。
In October 2018, I made decision to quit recovering my thesis and went back to Malaysia for 2 weeks. Because the main purpose was visiting my family, there’re not too many pictures been taken. 離開美里後，我們第一個行程就是亞庇五天四夜遊。為了給公公婆婆個舒適的旅程，我直接選了Amazing Borneo（官網）的兩個配套：神山兩天一夜遊及亞庇出海一日遊。第一天早上，我們六點多從美里出發，經納閩到亞庇。然後，旅遊小巴直接到機場接機，開始神山兩天一夜遊的行程。
Now, we’re going to Kota Kinabalu for a 5 days 4 nights trip. To ensure a relaxing tour for Wim and Diny, we have decided to take tour packages of Amazing Borneo (official website), with combined of a 2D1N Mount Kinabalu Tour and a 1D Islands Tour. This morning, we departed at 6:15 from Miri. After arriving at KK, we’re picked up directly from airport and started with our tour to Mount Kinabalu. Continue reading
天下沒有不散的筵席，轉眼就來到我們在美里停留的最後一天。因為我們坐的是次日早晨六點的班機離開，所以，中午就先回家跟爸媽一起吃頓午飯、告別，讓公公婆婆有足夠的時間收拾行李、晚上提早休息。
All good things come to an end. This’s the last day in Miri already, and we would move on to K.K. the next day at 6 am. Therefore, we visited my parents for lunch as farewell, to let Wim and Diny have an easy time later to prepare for their coming trip. Continue reading

這天早上回家祭祖，我們讓兩老在酒店自由活動。下午，我們去東姑村看看馬來西亞的多元宗教文化–華人的華光寺和它對面的印度廟，然後到美里公共公園走走。
This morning, we let Wim and Diny to have their own activities at hotel. In the afternoon, we brought them to Chinese and Hindu temples to explore the multi-cultural society in Malaysia, and last at Miri Public Park for sightseeing. Continue reading
這天就只享受海風！應諾公公婆婆在美里有個悠哉的假期，我們也放慢步調，用心享受那份悠閒。

每次回美里，總會找中學的同學一起聚聚。這次應巴特“同學”的要求，把同學會安排在他來美里之後，聚餐地點是在Luak的泰式餐館“泰北美食”。畢業二十幾年，還能聚在一起的就是緣分。
Every time when I’m in Miri, we will catch up with each others. We’re classmates at secondary school, and we’re friends for 25+ years. We have to cherish every chances to meet and have funs to enrich our memories. We have arranged this gathering at a Thai restaurant, after the arrival of our “classmate” Bart. Continue reading
悠哉地過了幾天，時差也調過來了，是時候開始旅行的節奏了。這天，我們帶公公婆婆到實務地，參觀爸爸的果園，還有去三個不同的海邊景點走走。
After few relaxing days, our Dutch guests got used to the new rhythm already, and it’s time to start with some busy programs. This day, we went to Sibuti to visit my father’s orchard, and three beaches (Bungai, Tusan, and Luak Explanade) with different exposures. Continue reading
曾經的皇家麗佳酒店，現為萬豪旗下的渡假酒店，美里目前唯二的五星級酒店之一。這天沒什麽節目，除了去星辰廣場走了一小圈，其他時間都在酒店享受。
Miri Marriott Resort & Spa, the Former RIHGA Royal Hotel Miri, is one of the two 5-stars hotels in Miri. This day, we didn’t have any special programs. So, beside a short trip to Bintang Plaza, we enjoyed the whole day at hotel. Continue reading
