It’s already 14pm after our short tour at Emden. We decided to go to some points at the coast to check the ferry schedule to the Wadden Islands for the next day. Then we went to Wittmund to check-in at Ringhotel.

Emden是Ostfriesland（德語），或East Frisia/Eastern Friesland（英語）的城市和要港，位於Ems河的出口，面向荷蘭的Groningen省。這是第一站，除了在市中心走了一圈，我們還去坐船參觀這裡的港口。
Emden is the main city and habour of Ostfriesland (DE), or East Frisia/Eastern Friesland (EN) of Germany. Beside having a walk in the city centre, we also joined a boat tour to visit the habour.

6月20日及21日是荷蘭一年一度的空軍日，今年在Gilze-Rijen的空軍基地，兩天都有空軍表演，吸引了約245.000人去參觀。我們星期六下午騎重機去湊熱鬧，先在A58高速公路旁的添油站遠觀表演。然後再往入口處前進，結果還是放棄了。這輯照片就當著是騰龍新鏡頭試拍用的。明年天氣好的話，就早早來去入場，看能不能佔到風水位來拍些戰機的特寫。
20-21 of June, 2014 was the Air Force Days (Luchtmachtdagen) of the Netherlands. The location of this year was at Gilze-Rijen Air Base and has attracted about 245.000 visitors to visit this event. There were many Air Force shows in these two days. We have only enjoyed some of the shows from distance at saturday afternoon. These are the photos of the day, main purpose is to test my new lens. Next year, we will try again and hopefully can make some closed-up pictures of the fighters etc.

從仙人掌綠洲回恩荷芬途中，我們在Ravenstein（官網）休息一會。這小鎮曾經是座馬斯河沿岸的堡壘之一，鎮裡還有不少堡壘的遺跡。婆婆很喜歡這小鎮，我們作媳婦的當然是沒意見，就去鎮裡逛一圈吧。

離開了蔚藍的克羅地亞，我們開始往阿爾卑斯山脈奔去。接下來的三天，走的都是起伏不平的高海拔地帶，我們刻意挑了很多次道來走，當然也不失所望，給我們這次暑假來了精彩的後半段。這天，7月17日，我們從克羅地亞的奧帕蒂亞出發，進入意大利後，朝它北邊、接近瑞士邊界的Passo dello Stelvio前進，全程約630公里，花了近十二個小時才抵達目的地。
Leaving Croatia, we began our journey to the Swiss Alps. The coming three days, we would travel at high sea level area, and we have chosen some secondary roads in the mountain area to enjoy the great sights of Alps. The first day, 17 July, we travelled from Opatija to Passo dello Stelvio which is located at the north of Italy and closed to the border of Switzerland. The distance is about 630km and we took almost 12 hours to finish the journey. Continue reading

奧帕蒂亞是我們往瑞士途中的休息點，可說是只為了睡個好覺罷了。我們住的酒店Hotel Residenz就在它的市中心，房間面海，可以觀賞海灣的美景。
Opatija is a stop of our journey from Croatia to Switzerland. We stayed at Hotel Residenz in the city centre. From the balcony of our room, we could enjoy the beautiful sight of the bay. Continue reading
週日天氣奇好，我們騎重機出遊，目的地是北布拉邦省西部的水防線De West Brabantse Waterlinie。這水防線建於1628年，是從Bergen op Zoom到Steenbergen，由四座堡壘（Fort Pinssen, Fort de Roovere, Fort Henricus, 已消失的Fort Moermont），及堡壘間相連的護城河和高堤，形成了抵禦敵人入侵的防線。戰事發生時，能在Steenbergen打開水閘引入海水，升高水位來保護自己。近年，這大部分埋沒在大自然間的水防線重見天日，城堤被復修後，也同時把部分濕地變成保護鳥類的自然保護區。
